Mark Curzon, Director - Fender Katsalidis

Presenting on the recently released Central Coast Leagues Club Masterplan

He may hail from Oxford, but having lived and practised architecture in Sydney for the past 15 years, Mark Curzon knows, understands and cares for the Harbour City as deeply as anyone.

A passionate, articulate and gifted designer, Mark's drive and irrepressible enthusiasm as a graduate proved a magnet for diverse project opportunitieseach honing his instinct for successful architectural and urban outcomes, informing his philosophy that built forms must 'give back', and fuelling his desire to follow ideas through to the smallest detail, and be involved at every stage of the journey.

One of those early opportunities would ultimately bring Mark to Australia, and a key leadership role in a large practice. Working across multiple typologies, his completed projects there include the multi award-winning 1 Bligh Street in central Sydney, the
Queensland Gallery of Modern Art, the Sydney Commonwealth Parliamentary Offices, and many other significant workslocally and overseas.

As a Director in our Sydney office, Mark is now putting his nearly 20 years of cultural, commercial, multi-residential, and hospitality experience to work for our clients, and recently led the firm's competition-winning design for Parramatta tower at 32 Smith Street.

Known for his energy, compulsive drawing and willingness to empower team members, Mark has had immediate impact and influence in advancing the firm's presence nationally, and in Sydney particularly.
